Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of our college is the largest faculty in terms of number of departments and students. The faculty was established in the year 1949 with four departments namely; Political Science, History, Sociology and Economics. Later on three more departments have been included in this Faculty i.e. Education, Geography and physical education. Besides courses offered by different departments, the faculty also manages Bachelor Programme and a course in Library and Information Science (B. Lib.).

The faculty follows the CBCS system of NEP 2020. It offers many choices to students in terms of Major, Minor, Vocational and Co-curricular subject. When it comes to career choice, it is excellent choice for students to pursue carrier in academics, civil services public relation and others socio-economical jobs.

Departments under this faculty are run by highly qualified faculty members. The faculty also introduce his students to basics of their subjects with quantitative techniques quantitative techniques and other specialized area like public finance of international trade financial market and Indian economy.

This faculty also enables students in field of research, planning, geo spatial and geo-political analysis landscape architecture urban planner environmental scientist.
