Instructions for Online Admission Process for UG & PG courses 

Step-1: Registration

  • It is mandatory for applicants of First year, to get University Registration Number (URN) by visiting official website of CSJM University (http://csjmu.ac.in/), seeking admission to the college of any affiliated college of CSJM university.
  • After getting URN, Candidate has to register himself/herself on “online admission” portal by clicking on register button available on official website of DSN College, (http://dsncollege.ac.in).
  • Fill the information such as course (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., M.A., M.Sc. and B.Lib.), your name, email id, Mobile no., URN and click on proceed and submit your registration fees of 100/- through NET banking/Debit Card/Paytm/Googlepay etc.
  • A registration number and password will be generated, keep it safe for future login.

Step-2: Login to fill the Admission form

  • Click on “login” button available on “online admission” portal of DSN College official website.
  • Use your registration number and password to login.

Step-3: Select your faculty stream and Subjects

  • First of all, Candidate will choose his one faculty out of these four
    • Faculty of Languages
    • Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
    • Faculty of Science
    • Faculty of Commerce
  • Faculty chosen by candidate will be called as candidate’s Own Faculty
  • Candidate will select three major subjects, two of which must be from his own faculty and the third of which can be from his own faculty or another faculty.
  • Candidate must select three major subjects, one minor subject, one vocational course, and one co-curricular course

Subject Selection for Bachelor of Art (B.A.)

Major Subject section procedure:

  • First of all, Applicant of B.A. Ist Semester will choose his own faculty either from
    • Faculty of Languages (Hindi, English, Sanskrit)

                                   Or

  • Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (Economics, Education, Geography, History, Physical education*, Political science, Sociology)
  • After the selection of own Faculty, candidate will select two Major Subjects from his own faculty.
  • Third major subject can be chosen from its own faculty or other faculty (Faculty of Languages or Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences)

Minor Subject section procedure:

  • Minor subject must be chosen from faculties other than his own faculty.

*Note- Those candidate who choose Physical Education as a major subject, would not able to choose Physical Education as a Vocational Course Subject.

Subject Selection for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

  • Candidate must choose his own faculty by selecting Faculty of Science.
  • Applicant of B.Sc. Ist Semester may select three Major subjects from following combinations
    • Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Application*, Physical Education*
    • Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physical Education*, Industrial Microbiology
  • Minor subject must be chosen from faculties other than his own faculty i.e. Faculty of Languages and Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

*Note- Those Candidate who chooses Computer Application or Physical Education as a major subject would be able to choose vocational subjects other than these similar subjects from the list of vocational subjects.

Subject Selection for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

  • Candidate must choose his own faculty by selecting Faculty of Commerce.
  • Applicant of B.Com. Ist Semester may select three Major subjects from following combinations.
    • Business Communication
    • Business statistics
    • Business organization
  • Applicant of B.Com. IInd Semester may select three Major subjects from following combinations.
    • Business Management
    • Financial Accounting
    • Business Economics
  • Applicant of B.Com. IIIrd Semester may select three Major subjects from following combinations
  • Company Law
  • Cost Accounting
  • Business Regulatory Framework
  • Minor subject must be chosen from faculties other than his own faculty

 Vocational Course Subject Selection (Compulsory)

  • Ist Semester Candidate may select one vocational Subject (3 credit) from following list of subjects
  • News reporting and editing
  • Journalism and Mass Communication
  • Physical Education and Sports
  • Office automation Using MS Office
  • Office Management and Computer Application

Co-curricular Course Subject Selection (Compulsory)

  • Ist Semester Candidate must select Food and Nutrition as Co-curricular Course subject.
  • Ind Semester Candidate must select First Aid and Health as Co- curricular Course subject.
  • IIIrd Semester Candidate must select Human Values and Environment studies as Co- curricular Course subject.
  • IVth Semester Candidate must select Physical Education and Yoga as Co- curricular Course subject.

Once the All Six subject (Three Major, One Minor, One Vocational and one Co-curricular subject) is selected by candidate, press on save button to redirect to further steps.

Step-4: Update Personal Information

  • Fill your basic information like Name, URN, Aadhar Card No., Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Occupation of Father/Guardian, Sub-caste, Caste Certificate No., Religion, Nationality, Domicile, Blood Group, Whether Belongs to Urban/Rural Area and Is Family Income below Rs. 2 Lacs? etc.
  • Once the details are updated, click on Save & Continue button after which you will be redirected to next step.

Step-5: Update Address & Contact Details

  • After successfully updating Personal Information, you will be redirected to address and contact details
  • Candidate may update details like Alternate Mobile No., Name & Local Address of Parent/Guardian, Correspondence Address and Permanent Address.
  • Once the details are updated, click on Save & Continue button after which you will be redirected to next step.

Step-6: Update Academic Information

  • Student has to fill detailed academic information like percentage, subject taken in 10th, 12th board exams, year of passing, other details like Sports Quota, NCC Certificates.
  • Sub Category:
    • Are you the son/daughter of teacher/employee of this college or CSJMU?
    • Are you the son/daughter of teacher/employee of any other college which is affiliated to CSJMU.
  • Once the details are updated, if any, click on Save & Continue button after which you will be redirected to next step.

Step-7: Update Uploaded Documents

  • After successfully updating Academic Details, you will be redirected to upload documents
  • Students should upload documents like Photograph & Signature in JPG/JPEG format whose size should not exceed 200 KB each.
  • Once the details are updated, if any, click on Save & Continue button after which you will be redirected to next step.

Step-8 Review and Final Submission of Application

  • Students will be redirected to review application If required, you can do any change/update any information in application form. Thereafter, select the Declaration check box and click on submit button for final submission.

(Note: No changes will be allowed after final submission of Application form, hence Students are advised to make required changes while reviewing the application.)

Step-9: Submit Course Fee

  • After successfully submitting the application, you will be redirected to submit the defined course fee
  • Select mode of payment i.e., Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/PayTm/googlepay and click on proceed to pay online button to submit the fee.
  • Once the fee is paid you will be redirected to next step.

Step-10: Download and Print application form

  • Candidate can download the submitted application by clicking on download application form button and can download the payment receipt. Print this downloaded application form and payment fees receipt.

Step-11: Document Verification

  • Candidate must the present in front of Admission Committee with duly signed Application form, payment receipt, all original and self attested photocopies of all documents i.e.
    • High school Mark sheet
    • High school Certificate
    • Intermediate Mark sheet
    • Intermediate Certificate
    • Aadhar Card
    • Caste certificate (For candidates taking benefit of reservation)
    • Original transfer certificate (T.C.) from your previous educational institution.
    • Original Character certificate issued by Principal from applicant’s previous educational institution.
  • Candidate’s admission will only confirm after the approval of Admission committee in college.
