I feel proud to welcome you all here to witness the glorious heights scaled by our Dayanand Subhash National College, Unnao. This college was established with the idea of a national institution to promote among its youth the highest and the loftiest ideals which constitute the essence of Indian National Movement and Socio-cultural Renaissance. The founders and the promoters of this college had a view to impart quality modern education with moral and ethical values to meet the genuine needs of the people of nearby areas. They believe in famous part of a verse appearing in ‘Vishnu Puran’ as ‘Saa vidyaa yaa vimuktaye’ means ‘That which liberates is knowledge,’ implying to provide value added education to the youth of those days to liberate themselves not only from the clutches of colonialism but also from poverty, ignorance, oppression, casteism, religious fundamentalism and so on. This aim has more relevance even today as our college continues to provide quality education largely to the students of socially and economically weaker section of the society.

Throughout the past seven decades the D.S.N. College has acquired and established a reputation through the dedication and selfless commitment of teachers, staff, and students. These supports enable our students to explore, express and excel both academically and creatively. Our goal is to provide the college with excellent infrastructure and pleasing academic environment. The college is located in an urban area within the reach of rural areas. We, at D.S.N. College, ensure high-quality education which motivates and empowers our students to be lifelong learners and productive members of society. Our task is to make it possible and our mission is to provide a platform for the same.  My appreciation goes out to all the Administrators, Teachers and Staff of the past and present for their dedication and their selfless service to education and the spreading of its wisdom and values, aims and objectives. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of our independence and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, I am confident that with the assistance of all stakeholders and with their ongoing support, we will be able to take our college to even higher levels of excellence. My commitment to our community is to lead the D.S.N. College with enthusiasm and passion to enable us to reach our goals. I look forward to welcoming you to be part of our vibrant learning community.
